THE DORM IS FINISHED!  “We went as two teams on this trip. The first was supposed to unpack and inventory the containers. The plan was to prepare everything so that when the second team arrived, they could hit the ground running. Instead, we had issues with customs, taxes and transportation. Over and over I was nearly in tears with the frustrations and delays, and was convinced we would never finish the dorm in time. But God had another plan.

The Sunday morning that the second team arrived, the story of Gideon came to my mind. In the story of Gideon, God whittled down Gideon’s army from 32,000 to 300. In a similar way, He whittled down our 3 week trip of 13 work days to a mere 6 ½.  It had to be impossible for us so we could only do it in His strength.”  -Team Member, Steve Hovis

We are reminded that God’s direction does not always make sense to us. But, like Gideon, the team on the ground in Ethiopia was willing to do exactly as God wanted them to do, regardless of their own plans or schedule.
